Chester Rod and Gun Club offers two clay shooting venues for clay target enthusiasts. These facilities are open 52 weeks of the year barring extreme weather conditions.  Clay target shooting hours are Sundays from 10:AM until 2:PM year round and from 3:PM until dusk and on Tuesday's & Thursday's May through October. Club volunteers staff the clay shooting activities.

Trap
The trap field is located adjacent to the club house. It is equipped with a Pat Trap which is serviced on a regular basis by the manufacturer to ensure that it is operating properly. The clay targets are released via electronic speakers at each of the 5 stations on the trap field. These electronic releases ensure a uniform and timely release.

Skeet
The skeet field is located adjacent to a shelter which offers some protection from the elements between rounds of skeet. Both the high and low houses are equipped with Promatic Traps with a remote control release. These traps are serviced by a club member with years of experience working with these traps.

Shooter Demographic
The experience level of shooters who utilize our club varies from the novice to the seasoned competitor. Shooters may be local Vermonters or travelers from other states. We welcome all shooters who want to experience the rewards and camaraderie that are associated with clay target shooting.
